me: "eh suresh, eh sathya! WAKE UP WAKE UP for your prowling. 4 o clock already."
(suresh woke up)
sathya: "sergeant dont worry la. later we will go. we know what to do. relac relac. later 6 0 clock we will be the last detail and go. sergeant nash already told us to go collect the prowling papers at the checkpoints."
(i gave them the benefit of the doubt and they both went back to sleep)
before i knew it, 2 hours later i was scolding sathya about him lying n putting words in me n nash's mouths. my day began on the wrong foot as i started off telling him nicely but eventually shouted at him after he started talking back n raising his voice at me. i surprised even myself la. i mean, it's the first time i've ever shouted like that to a man using my capacity as a sergeant. i kinda regretted it after that though. i used to think that it was possible to get a man to change for the better (i.e "wake up his idea") by talking to him nicely, but for a few minutes this morning i kinda lost it and ended up raising my voice in a way i never thought i would. i guess i must have woken up the rest who were sleeping in the guardhouse rest room. hehs.
that was the bad part of the day. the good part was that i got to book out, albeit at 2130hrs. took off for tmr cos i don't have guard comd duty. shiok. took the train back with james, and this sheep of mine surprised me by inviting me to be part of his birthday celebrations. the thing is that his birthday is in july. apparently he's gonna be inviting some of his closest friends (though i don't know the others yet). yeps. so i was pleasantly surprised to hear this coming from my sheep. really appreciated it(:
tomorrow's off won't be spent doing nothing and chor bo-ing though. i'll be meeting my sheeps ben, taylen and james for lunch n pool. cool. time to spend some quality time with the guys, especially before ben n taylen enlist and go all botak.
