right now i'm having this migraine, not feeling too well. that is y i'm missing out on the church cl retreat that is going on right now over at ymca. it's supposed to be a relaxing n really fun overnight camp but bleah, cant go. jus woke up from a 2hr nap n feeling kinda stoned as well. perhaps it was a hangover from yesterday, when i went to so many places n did so many things n got to know so many new ppl.
the day started off wif training. i went over to the SMU track n did some drills n a 4x120m workout. not too tough, n i must say the ability to go at 100% pace for all 4 gave me a sense of achievement. cos it's usually hard to push all the way for the last one. having soccer training on the field was a large grp of young boys around the age of 10 to 12, all from different schools. there was a professional coach around. one thing that was definitely noticeable was that almost all the boys were either malay or indian. from wad i saw, there only 2 chinese kids.
where have all the chinese soccer players gone? i can recall reading in the papers before that there r only 4 chinese players currently plying their trade in the s-league. that's quite sad. ohwell maybe i got the figures wrong, but anyway it's around there and u get the idea.
after going down to queensway to get spike nails for my spikes and popping by topman at wisma to get a gift voucher for robin, i had to rush down to his surprise birthday party, which was at nadia's house in kembangan. come to tink of it, shirin was damn smart la. she actually stole my number off rob's hp so as to get me to go for the party.
on the way there on the bus, i passed by town n saw this couple of models posing for a photo shoot. and the photographer was like lying on the ground to get a worm's eye view of the couple in the bustling city landscape, with people walking all around them. haha kinda cool. i mean, how often do u get to see a photo shoot taking place smack in the middle of town?
on reaching kembangan mrt, i was supposed to wait for one of robin's classmates to come pick me up n bring me to nadia's place. n the plan was that robin was not supposed to see me, cos as i said, it's a surprise bday party for him (he was supposed to tink that it's a debate meeting). but as it turned out, he almost saw me la. rob jus came out of the station blur-eyed and for a moment i tot he actually saw me cos he looked in my direction. but i guess it's jus that he didnt expect me to be there at that time. lol.
so i was earlier over at nadia's place, n got to know rob's classmates as well as peng fei n wen xiong, 2 of rob's best frens in cat high. when rob finally came, he realised that it was a class bday party for him, n when he saw 3 of his best frens there too,
i'm damn sure he stood there dumbfounded for at least 3mins saying "wahlao, wahlao, wtf, wahlao." lol! it's something that i probably won't see my best friend do again. haha great job shirin for making it such a surprise for rob.
dad n mum picked me up after the party to go for aunt jeannie's church event, which was thankfully, quite close to kembangan. it was mainly because of this that i couldnt go for service yesterday. but it's a church anyway. met up wif quite alot of ppl that i used to know, some ppl that i recognised since the church camp that i went for in p6 n sec1. lol. many familiar faces here n there. come to tink of it, i've gone for quite a few church camps, all wif different churches. at least 3 different church camps. but the Hope ones r always the best. heez.
oh mann. time trials for nationals tmr. needa hit a 11.6secs hand-time to get in. God pls get me thru this.
