auld lang syne
farewell to 2004, welcome 2005.
jus came back from the wedding dinner! heh. it was held at the grand hyatt hotel, which is like, jus beside far east plaza. passed by it so many times this yr during my cj life.
i went down early wif my family, like ard 6pm. then my cousins shermine n choon heng n me did the reception n asked ppl to sign n we assigned them their tables. really quite cool to do smth like this! haha. sat down there n felt like some bigshot. but then we missed the couple's march-in la. cos of the reception duties. bleah.
the dinner ended at ard 11+, then after the guests left, some of my younger cousins went ard the tables kop-ing the boxes of chocolates that were left behind. haha! like some sort of achievement whenever they found the chocs. yea then came lots of photo-taking again. we did the quan jia fu again la.
it so happened that the hotel had their own countdown also, at the lobby. lots of ppl there la. packed wif mostly caucasians n japs. there were police n security checks jus outside the hotel. gives that kind of clubbing atmosphere. then the countdown thing was kinda retro, i mean the music n the decor all around.. not bad la, considering it's jus a hotel countdown. 3, 2, 1.. welcome 2005! auld lang syne.....
yea then ard 12+ the few of us cousins went out to walk down orchard rd. again lots of ppl. lots of ppl spraying that stuff. dunno wad exactly u call it. it's impossible to walk thru the place without getting sprayed at la! yea n one thing. half of the ppl in orchard were bhangla workers la. freaking black sea down there. n then they tink they're really cool by spraying the stuff at ppl, esp girls. gives me another reason to hate the bhanglas. lots of muds n bengs there too.. oh yar, i met jie min n sandy near the orchard mrt area. they were like standing there, told me they were afraid to get sprayed n get touched. lol. but then again there r ppl out there who purposely spray at the girls' faces n then anyhow touch. this ppl shd freaking get a life la.
haha we also witnessed this fight between a grp of indians n a grp of chinese. lol. happened right in front of me la. apparently this indian guy sprayed at the chinese girl, n she shouted back at him. then the girl's guy frens came n kicked that indian guy. lol. then that indian guy's frens, who were obviously indian, came n helped also. suddenly a racial riot was happening right in front of me la. if i'm not wrong, the chinese side won in the end. yay.
went back to the hotel, n wad a surprise! my whole mum's side family were in the suite waiting for us, n there was a cake n cele for my bday! yea really cool la. thanx everyone!
